hagel for defense and brennan for the cia. will you vote against any of those men? >> i'm most concerned about brennan. i will demand answers this week. senator widen asked can they do drone strikes in the united states? and brennan went on talking about optimizing transparency and never answered the question. until i get an answer can a drone strike kill an american in america. can you kill an american in america with only the president's word? i will demand an answer to that question. and it's very unseemly that a politician gets to decide the death of an american citizen. they should answer about the 16-year-old boy, alawaki's son that was killed in a separate strike. if you go overseas, take up arms, i'm probably for executing you, i want to hear the evidence, have a judge and jury. it can be fairly swift, but there needs to be a trial for treason, the president, a politician, republican or democrat, should never get to decide someone's death flipping through flash cards, do you want to kill him? i don't know. let's go ahead and kill him. >> a question for john

hagel has been really struggling, so -- >> thanks. we'll check back in with you later. thank you so much, senator rand paul from kentucky, we'll look for you tuesday night. >>> our next guest is one of two independents in the senate, he has been called a bridge builder and a problem solver. he has questioned both john brennan and chuck hagel during their confirmation hearings. not bad for an office who's only been in office 38 days. an gus king of maine is up next. i feel so alone. but you're not alone. i knew you'd come. like i could stay away. you know i can't do this without you. you'll never have to. you're always there for me. shh! i'll get you a rental car. i could also use an umbrella. fall in love with progressive's claims service. with the bing it on challenge to show google users what they've been missing on bing. let's bing it on. [fight bell: ding, ding] how many here are google users? what if i was to tell you that you would actually like bing way more than google when it came to the results? prove it. let's look up some taco places. i like the left side. y

that doesn't mean we shouldn't give chuck hagel an up or down vote. and i think we should. >> as far as you know, is there anything standing between chuck hagel and that vote? a hold? anybody willing to do that? you think this will happen? >> i think it will happen, barring some additional revelation concerning his comments about israel and all those other really unfortunate things he said in the past. >> let me ask you about john brennan, nominated to be cia director. you wanted certain information about benghazi. how far are you willing to go to delay the brennan vote in order to get the information you want? >> i think it depends on his answers, to start with. second of all, we still don't know who was rescued from the consulate in benghazi. we still don't know who made out the trackialking points. mr. brennan said he was opposed to waterboarding and torture but at the same time he has said it has saved lives. i would like to know what lives were saved because the information i have is it saved no one's life. in fact, it was a lot of misinformation
